Orion Product Integrations
Orion Network Performance Monitor (NPM) is built to enable easy integration with other SolarWinds products and third-party applications to maximize your investment. Orion NPM stores collected data in an open, Microsoft® SQL Server database which can be easily accessed from, or incorporated into, external applications, such as operation management systems or trouble ticketing systems.
Orion NPM also includes an advanced alerting engine, which provides an easy-to-use, real-time method of sending data to upstream systems and event handlers. Orion NPM's web interface is built for easy customization and includes methods for integrating third-party application data or for referencing Orion NPM's data from within other websites.
Microsoft System Center
A FREE Orion NPM Management Pack enables deep integration with Microsoft® System Center Operations Manager 2007 and Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007. Through this new Management Pack, Orion NPM brings extensive network visibility to Microsoft management platforms by pulling rich network fault and performance data from Orion NPM and presenting it natively within System Center.
The Orion NPM Management Pack delivers detailed network information to System Center, including network top talkers, comprehensive network traffic summaries and NetFlow analysis, and multi-vendor network device details, such as specific router throughput. This incredibly detailed network information is seamlessly integrated into System Center and is presented side-by-side with existing application and server information, providing a single comprehensive view of server, desktop, and network infrastructure performance.

Engineer's Toolset
For customers with Engineer's Toolset and Orion NPM, you can leverage the functionality of the Toolset directly from the Orion NPM interface by simply right-clicking with your mouse. Users may access powerful applications, such as NetFlow Realtime, Real-Time Interface Monitor and Cisco Configuration Viewer, directly from the Orion NPM web interface.
Cirrus Configuration Manager
Orion NPM displays Cirrus configurations and reports directly from the Web console, enabling you to easily troubleshoot whether a network issue is related to a configuration change.
LANsurveyor
SolarWinds LANsurveyor can quickly and easily discover your network and automatically create a detailed network map. The map can be saved and exported to Microsoft Office Visio®. The map can be imported from LANsurveyor or Visio into Orion NPM’s Map Maker feature with a single click. For detailed instructions on how to use this integration feature, please view our Rapid Network Topology Mapping Demo.
Thwack
Orion NPM brings Thwack, SolarWinds’ online community of thousands of network engineers, right into the Orion web interface. This empowers you to get quick answers to network issues and to share Orion resources, such as universal device pollers, application templates, and recent forum postings.
Other Orion Products
Orion Modules
Orion modules directly integrate with Orion NPM to expand network monitoring to network-based applications and technologies. Available modules include VoIP Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, Wireless Network Monitor, and Application Performance Monitor.
Orion Scalability Engines
Orion NPM ensures that your network will never outgrow your management solution. As a highly scalable, network management platform, Orion NPM can accommodate network growth through the addition of a hot standby engine, multiple polling engines, and additional web servers.
Orion Enterprise Operations Console (EOC)
For environments with multiple Orion NPM instances, Orion EOC provides a consolidated command center to monitor your entire enterprise network. Giving you unified visibility into remote Orion servers running Orion NPM and its associated modules, Orion EOC enables you to monitor as few as several hundred network elements to well over one million elements by consolidating data from dozens of remote Orion server deployments.
